Continuing Education Bursary

BCAMP will offers to their Authorized Practitioners members the possibility to access a continuing education bursary. This financial support program aims to support our active and in good standing members in their professional development by promoting access to continuing education.

The Continuing Education Bursary enables members wishing to enroll in one of our recognized continuing educations from category 1 or category 2 to receive a bursary. This financial assistance program is designed to support our members in their professional development. Members are limited to one bursary grant per fiscal year. The fiscal year begins on September 1 St to August 31 St of the following year.

Each year, the amount of the Continuing Education Bursary is determined by the Board of Directors, which allocates a percentage of our budget to it. As such, we cannot guarantee the grant bursary.

However, BCAOMP will keep a waiting list in case we reach the budget limit before the end of the fiscal year.

Eligibility Requirements

To obtain the BCAOMP continuing education bursary*, you must:

Be Authorized to Practice member of BCAOMP.
Choose a continuing education training that:
- Is given by a recognized Health Care Professional approved by BCAOMP;
- Is less than 10 hours; category 1 or category 2;
- Begins and ends between September 1 St , 2026 and August 31 St , 2027.
Apply for a subsidy between September 1 St , 2026, and the end of your training.
Apply only once for the current fiscal year (September 1 St , 2026 to August 31 St , 2027).
The osteopath manual practitioner needs to attend the Annual General
Meeting of the Association to be an eligible applicant for the
bursary.

*Continuing Education Event sessions organized by BCAOMP are not eligible for the continuing Education Bursary.

Steps to follow

To obtain a reimbursement from the continuing education bursary, please follow the steps below:

Apply between September 1 St , 2026, and the end of your training, no later than August
31 St , 2027.
Applications submitted between September and November will receive a response in
December. For applications submitted after January 1 St , you will receive an acceptance
or rejection email within 45 days.
Successfully complete the chosen training program.
Complete the reimbursement request form within 60 days of the training completion
date, and before August 31 St , 2027. You will find this form below to download and
complete. You will need to attach the invoice and the certificate from your course.
Please note that reimbursements are made by interact e-transfer within 45 days of
receipt of your reimbursement request and approval by the Board of Directors. We will
send you an acceptance email if your request was approved, on a waiting list or denied.
